Great Design & the Power of Seamless Layout Switching

Great Design & the Power of Seamless Layout Switching

Last Updated on April 17, 2020

Commitment to great design is one of the cornerstones of the Stackable Philosophy. Function + Great design at the core to make stunning blocks.

We believe that whatever we produce should not only be functional but also easy on the eyes, and this is something that was instilled in us from the get-go.

Our Art Director happened to come across these while cleaning up her Stackable files.

These were the different logos we were choosing from when we were about to release Stackable for the first time. As you can see, even during the early, early days, our commitment to making beautiful things was already at the center of our decision-making.

Thankfully, our Art Director had the time, patience and (of course) the talent to come up with so many gorgeous design options. She meticulously made each and every logo design from scratch, and we had a very long and lively pow-wow to decide on which logo to go with. As time-consuming as it was, we felt that designing from scratch was necessary to come up with the best logo. Needless to say, we’re very happy with the result.

In the course of developing Stackable though, we realized that there is an easier way of choosing among different design options without having to design from scratch every time.

Seamless Layout Switching

Seamless Layout Switching is a powerful tool that allows you to switch between different Stackable layouts with just the click of a button. To use it, follow these simple steps:

Step 1

Add a block and implement your design by using the text, colors, effects and other features that you want.

Step 2

Seamlessly switch between the available Stackable layouts in the inspector (right side) and decide on the best one for you.

Yes… It’s that easy.

Since some people need to see it (or rather, to try it out) to believe it, you can check out the Stackable Premium Demo to give Seamless Layout Switching a spin.

  1. Hi Benjamin, I am really liking Stackable…it gives me great design and layout features in my posts that I otherwise would never have got as I am not confident with CSS.

I have just purchased your Premium/Pro version for my site but for some reason I am not seeing all the layouts for some of the blocks (e.g. Card, Call to Action, etc). For these I am only seeing the plain and basic layouts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
    Colette

    1. Hi Colette. So sorry for the late response. We’re still catching up with replying to our blog comments.

If you have not resolved this issue yet, you might want to check if Stackable Premium was properly installed. You might still be inadvertently using Stackable (free) on your site. Let me know if this resolves the issue. Otherwise, please send us an email through support@wpstackable.com so we can get to it ASAP. ?

    1. If this is for scripting, then you can just add a Custom Class for the block, then target them in your Javascript. Every block element has a unique class also that you can alternatively use for your selectors.
