What can you build with Dynamic Sources?

Quick, beautiful archive pages and content templates

Design your perfect Stackable block-based layout, and let Dynamic Sources fill in the content. In this example, we built a template that works for any photographer. It dynamically pulls in the photographer’s name, bio, location, camera type, specialties, and several images.

Dynamic Lists

Toolset’s View block is a query-building tool that searches your content and displays what you want in a custom, block-based output. You can choose from Core blocks, Stackable Blocks or Toolset’s Blocks to design how your output displays.

Because the output content is dynamic, what appears in the list changes automatically as you add or edit content.

Powerful Custom Search

Add pagination, sorting, and search options to your lists so your site users can find exactly what they need. Design your custom, block-based search result layout, and Dynamic Sources will customize the results based on search criteria. AJAX options allow your results to update as you search, as in the example above.

How does it work with Stackable?

To use Dynamic Sources, you first need Toolset Blocks and Toolset Types (both are part of the Toolset suite of plugins). Types allows you to create custom post types, fields, and taxonomies, and Blocks makes it possible to display that custom content. Then, simply add a Stackable block to your design, turn on Dynamic Sources, and choose which of your fields or taxonomies to display.

Tip: You can also add content from a Dynamic Source inline alongside other text by clicking the inline Field button.
