How to Remove Block Elements

This tutorial will show you how to remove elements in Stackable blocks like buttons, images and the like.

Removing Block Components

Stackable blocks come with different areas or block elements. While these elements are all useful, some designs require that some block elements be removed.

To remove the different components of your blocks, select your block then in the Block Inspector, navigate to the Style tab.

In there you will find the individual toggles that you can use to enable/disable the different parts of your block.

Removing Parts of a Column

For blocks containing multiple columns, you may encountered times when you only want to remove a specific block component in one column. In these cases, you can simply delete the placeholder text or other text you previously used to remove from the column.

This works for buttons and images as well. Just remove the text of buttons, or remove any images in your block.

While some faded placeholder text still appears in the editor, the text won’t appear in the frontend of your site.

  1. Hello: Thank you for your hard work. I am using the Stackable theme and blocks.
    1. Is the stackable theme AMP ready or should I add a plugin?

    2. I have a WP shortcode RSS feed in the Post block. The issue is I cannot reuse the post block, as the RSS feed has become part of the block. Example: I ad the post block into a new container, and all the feed information comes with it. No way to remove it.

Again, thanks for your hard work.

    1. We’re still investigating the AMP compatibility. We’ll update you once we’ve fixed this.

Would you test whether this issue is still happening? We’ve fixed a lot of things, and release a lot of updates. It might be possible that the issue is already fixed. In case the updates don’t fix the issue, would you be able to provide us with a sample page containing the problem? You can also email us directly at, so we can assist you better.
